Hi there everyone! I'm a new cat mom and am wondering as a blind person what the best way is to clean a litter box as a blind person. I will getting one of those litter maid ones in a few weeks, but for now am stuck with a tradissional litter box and clumping litter.
Hi there. Well first, make sure you clean the litter box at least once a day. twice if you're able to. Get one of those litter scoops with slots in it, so that the clean litter falls back through, and it holds the clumps. Then just dump the clumps into a trash can. You can run the scoop along the top of the litter to test for lumps, but it's best to just make several thorough sweeps through the box at varying angles. If worst comes to worse and you have to touch the litter to find a clump, just wash your hands right after you're done.
